AirMark®

High-performance airfield marking system installed by AMP-certified crews. One of a limited number of certified installers nationwide — and we travel across the Southwest for the right project.

WHAT IT IS

Performance airfield marking.

AirMark® is a specialty high-performance airfield marking material that outperforms standard paint on durability, retroreflectivity, and lifespan. It requires being a PPG Certified Applicator to install — meaning the installer has completed specialized training and ongoing QA. This certification combined with our AMP certification makes us the best choice for the job.

Falcon is one of a limited number of AMP-certified AirMark® installers nationwide. We're based in Phoenix and travel for AirMark® work across the Southwest US — primarily Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas.

How we apply.

Surface Prep
Pavement is clean, dry and free of debris. Existing markings, rubber, and curing compound is removed.
AirMark® Sealer
A two-part sealer is applied before application to ensure proper adhesion per AirMark® system specification.
AirMark® Material
Material pieces are interconnected and assembled over designated area.
AirMark® Heater
Pavement is pre-heated and then the heater effectively heats materials in a single pass ensuring optimum bonding with the substrate. Edges are touched up with a blow torch.
QA & QC Testing
Continuous quality control through application including ambient, surface, and material temps.
Multi-State Mobilization
We travel for AirMark® work. Bonded, insured, ready to mobilize to AZ, NV, UT, CO, NM, TX.

QUESTIONS

AirMark® FAQs

What is AirMark® and how is it different from standard airfield paint?
AirMark® is a high-performance airfield marking system that outperforms standard paint on durability, retroreflectivity, and lifespan. It requires specialized certification from the manufacturer to install, which standard airfield paint does not. It's used where an airport needs longer-lasting markings and higher performance than conventional materials provide.
What certifications does Falcon hold for airfield work?
Falcon holds two distinct credentials for airfield marking. AMP (Airfield Marking Professional) certification covers airfield marking work broadly. AirMark® certified installer status is separate and specific to the AirMark® high-performance system. Both require specialized training, and only a limited number of installers nationwide hold them — which is why airports and general contractors bring us in for this work specifically.
What states do you travel to for AirMark® projects?
Falcon is based in Phoenix and travels across the Southwest for AirMark® work — primarily Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Because certified installers are limited, we mobilize regionally for the right AirMark® project.
Does AirMark® meet FAA standards?
Yes. AirMark® installations are performed to FAA Advisory Circular 150 standards, the same specification that governs airfield markings generally. Every installation includes the application logs, QC reports, and material certifications that airport projects require.
How do I know if my project needs AirMark® or standard airport markings?
It depends on the specification the airport or engineer has set. Some projects specifically call for a high-performance system like AirMark®; others are satisfied by standard FAA-compliant paint. Falcon is certified for both, so we can install to whatever the project requires — see our airport markings page for standard airfield work.
